For the MCSD certification,is there any type of expiration to the certification?Say when a new version of say VB(ex.VB. Net) comes out does that mean your current MCSD certification is worthless?
What happens is that some time after the new version comes out, the "old" version is "retired". Once an exam is retired, it no longer counts and you would have to replace that exam with another. Microsoft do usually give about 6 months notice of retirement of an exam.
As an example, VB 5 was only retired a few months ago. So I expect the VB6 exams will remain valid for at least the next 12 months.
