I have installed a new ATA133 controller and 2 new 160 gig ata hard drives on an old Pentium Pro 266 dual processor server. The system finds the Card and the 2 new hard drives, but when it does, it can't locate the NT loader for NT 4.0 sp6a. The boot drive and loader are SCSI. I even tried installing NT to another SCSi drive, but it is on the same controller card and the drive couldn't be written to. I suspect that there is a conflict between the 2 controllers, but don't know where to start troubleshooting this kind of problem. Maxtor hasn't been very much help. Could someone point me in the right direction?

Thanks in advance for the help!

you need to change the boot.ini file. if the boot disk is disk 0 without the ata stuff it will be disk 2 with the two new drives installed. Create an ERD before you do anything.
