Maximum number of digital stations (DS) allowed on IP 500 standard and professional

A year ago when I was carefully reading (did I?) the IPO 4.0 installation manual.
I was somewhat surprised when I saw that you can have max 24 digital phones on the IPO 500 main module, both STD and PRO.

Digital Station --- 0 or 8 --- --- --- 8 --- 0 Up to 24
(DS) Ports
On the same page 30 says about IP 500

Maximum Extension Capacity
Digital (DS) Phones only. 264
Analog Phones only. 272
- IP Phones only. 272

That means the 8 lacking DS remains

I’m posting this to check it later sub releases 4.1x – 4.2x have removed this restriction

You can have up to 3 DS8 cards internal to the IP500 but can have 4 Phone8 cards. So 32 Analog extensions or 24 digital.

Pro = 272 DS Phones and users
