Hi Everyone

In my book, it states that the maximum memory support for windows 2000 server is 4 gig. Is this the case even after applying SP4? We have a server with 12 gig and would like to know if we are wasting our time installing 2000 server on it.

Thanks

To the best of my knowledge, the following are the maximums;

Windows 2000 Server: 4GB
Windows 2000 Advanced Server: 8GB

Do you know if it's possible to upgrade from 2000 Server to 2000 Data Server?

I found out too late that you cannot go from Server to Adv. Server without doing a reinstall.

FYI -

You can only purchase the Data Center version of Win2K from a "qualified OEM" pre-installed on their hardware.
