Hi all,

Just looking into this master/slave option you have in 2000/2005 where you can push out maintenance plans/jobs to 'slave' servers. This would only work if all jobs were EXACTLY the same on all servers right?? If so it wont be useful to me as the 50 or so servers i administer have different jobs running.

I know this is the case but hoping someone will prove me wrong!

Thanks.

Hi Vinyl,

That's the point of having a master server - you create a job on that server and push it to all the target servers so you don't have to recreate it 50 times (in your case) or so.

Things like general maintenance where it would generally be the same though would prove this feature to be handy.

HTH,

M.

Thought so!!!

Thanks for responding
