I use BT Broadband, a partner company we do business with has given us 5 email addresses and their details in order for us to have outgoing emails in their name. For example at the moment outgoing emails show as name@btinternet.co.uk etc.. we want them to show as name@company name.co.uk
Is this understandable? I want to somehow mask my BT Broadband address so outgoing emails are received in a company name.
Can anyone kindly help/

Many thanks in advance.

Thanks Chris, is it as easy as that? will I not have to change the SMTP Server or POP3 Server details? Or do anything else?
Many thanks.

To send out any e-mail via your BT connection you will have to send via thier SMTP server. The POP server depends on whose e-mail account you are collecting from.

So in effect all I do is follow your instructions earlier and people receiving emails will see the name@companyname as opposed to the BT address?

I have a similar scenario with a client, and it hasn't worked so simply. I think BT have anti-spamming services in play which prevents sending email via adresses other than your BT account. Strangely, I can get it to work ok through one ISP's mail server, but not others.

Well, I couldn't comment on how BT set their mail servers up but on most others it works just fine.

Spamming is about the destination e-mail and the sending server, not really the sending mail address. However, I suppose that BT might have tightened their policy a bit!!
