I developed a VB application that extracts Items and customer information using ODBC(DSN=SOTAMAS90) connection from MAS90. Can I use the same application to extract items and customers information from another version of MAS90(the version I used to test the application is 3.70) or MAS200. Are tabel and table column names remain the same in different versions of MAS90? Also are they different between MAS200 and MAS90. The reason I didn't used VI is because I couldn't find the fields I need linked together in one file.

Thanks

V3.70 came with a technical reference and support guide CB (TRSG). This contained the layout of all tables.

On a side note v3.70? Why don't you upgrade? MAS is currently at v4.30 meaning you are at least 5 releases behind.

BigLouie,

Thanks for the fast reply. The thing is we have an application which has to communicate with different financial backend applications, of our clients, like MAS90/200, QuickBooks, PeachTree and the likes. We developed the apllication, which I mentioned in my last post, to work with MAS90 version 3.70 because it is the earliest release we can find. Our application is supposed to work with all versions of MAS90 and MAS200. To be more clear, my question was whether the table and column names of different versions of MAS90/200 are the same as MAS90 vesrion 3.70 or not. Form the TRSG I know the table layout of all tables of version 3.70 .

Thanks again

For v3.XX the table names do not change and remain constant from version to version. Starting with v4.0 as the modules move to the Business Framework the tables and fields change. Currently GL, AR, AP, SO, BR are all on the Business Framework.

Note you would need to change your application if the client is using v4.0 or higher.
