Hi,

Here’s the problem. I have a NT 4.0 workstation that I need to map a drive to an NT 4.0 server. Using the GUI or the command line I can only map down one level i.e. net use \\server\level_one. If I try and map down any further it gives me the error "Network Path not found". I have WINS installed and NetBuei also. Also when using the GUI to map a drive when I get to the second level the Map Drive window closes and a regular window opens. I can then go to the folder but can’t map to it as the Map Drive window has closed. I can get to the folder also by going to run cmd \\server\level_one\level_two\level_three.

Any ideas?

TIA

Here's more info. I can map to the folder using WinXP just fine.

Both the NT workstation and the server have SP6 installed. I have tried this on another NT workstation and get the same results.

OK, figured it out. You can't state the full path, just the server and the folder, no matter how many levels it is.
i.e. \\server\folder not \\server\path\folder.
