I am connecting a Windows XP Pro SP2 to a Windows 2003 server. The user is setup with an account on the 2003 server. When I connected the drive it asked for a user name and password. I gave it the information and told it to save the information. When I reboot the XP computer I do not get the message cannot connect some drives and there are no red 'X' on the drives in Windows explorer, but when I open an application that uses the mapped drive it says it cannot access the files on the mapped drive. If I go into Windows Explorer and click on the mapped drive it will show me all of the files on the drive. Then, until I reboot, I can run the application with no connection problems. I have already checked the registry entry and disabled the web client service. I have the TCP/IP protocol and IPX compatible protocols installed as well. How can I fix this problem?

I also used the net use command and it shows the mapped drives to be 'Unavailable.' After I select them in Windows explorer they show the status 'OK.'

I found the problem. The used name was the same, but the passwords were different on the server and the PC.
