Just today, I was going through my folders when i noticed that two new icons that I have never seen before were there next to my up icon. They are the map network and disconnect icons and I've never had them there before. I haven't installed any software that would so something like that and I my computer isnt part of some network or anything. I don't want to map any drives, I dont even know what that is and these buttons are completely useless, not to mention an eyesore. If someone could tell me how to get rid of them from my toolbar, that would be very helpful. Thanks in advance.

Just goto Customise toolbars, click commands and drag the buttons of there. If 'something' 'somewhere' gives 'some' error, excpect random guesses or no replies at all. Please specify details.

Where is "customize toolbars"? I know in internet explorer, you can go to View > Toolbars > Customize... but there is no such option in normal explorer.

Right click the area where the toolbar icons are. If 'something' 'somewhere' gives 'some' error, excpect random guesses or no replies at all. Please specify details.

Oops , I amy be wrong here (was working out of my memory). I think it is in the options - advanced or something, show map drives on toolbar. If 'something' 'somewhere' gives 'some' error, excpect random guesses or no replies at all. Please specify details.

I tried that but all I get is:

Standard buttons
Address bar
Links
-----------------------
Lock the toolbars
Text labels

they are all checks that either toggle on or off... none of them bring up a dialog box or anything

oh hey, thanks.. i got it... thanks a lot for the help!

This should do it.......

Copy and paste the below text into notepad and save as filename.reg
Right-click filename.reg, select merge, and click OK.

Should take effect after reboot.
