So my music rout vanished, i was getting a fast busy when i dialed the access code, ACD calls where getting transferred all over the building. Everything looked good in the switch no alarms, TGAR and what not for the music trunk was cool. Did an manual INIT on the face of the cpu, and all came back up fine, music worked, acd calls started routing correctly.. Any ideas? This is the first init i have had to do for a few years :-) Is it normal that goofy things like this happen? I know a windows box runs and runs until it says "wow im tired" then needs a reboot, but i wouldn't thing the switch is like that?

Thanks.

No the switch is not like that, you did happen to print the history in LD 22 to see if there was anything unysal before you Init the switch

opt 11? 99.9 percent of the time you can correct the software without an ini... nortel almost never needs one because bill gates didn't write the code.

your mus trunks may have been disabled... the ini cleared that.. best to find the trouble prior to ini so that it stays away

nope checked the trunk for music, it was active, opt 11 yes. Trust me i tried everything before an ini. The goofy routing of acd calls, i didnt tear into but figured they where related. As for the music, its a trunk card with that TN in a music route, no rocket science, i couldnt even get to the music with the acod. before i did the ini i dislu, the tn then re enabled, no go, i dislc the whole trunk card, and re enabled, no go. I stat the card in ld 32 before doing anything and it was all happy there too.

sounds like it was corrupt, you still have rdlogs available to sort through, not sure if you'd find an answer for corruption. I think you did the right thing!

If you print the tnb of the music trunk, you will see a conf loop assigned (CFLP). You may want to stat or test that in overlay 38 if this happens again.

crap it is rocket science, i didnt even think about that! Phonz1 just got me feeling all good about myself, then you have to bring me down! :) But how would a conf loop crap out? and what would i see different from above?
