I have set up hunt groups using cover paths and this allows me to enter a night service destination for the hunt group and program a button on a phone to be able to manually activate it.

I'd like to use vectors as they give me more flexibility but as soon as I hit Y in the vector field the night service destination field disappears. I can't use time of day in the vectors as the time they want to night switch is not constant.

Any one have any ideas? Thanks :)

AndyAPAC,

if you have cm 2.1 or higher you can use variables in vectors feature. you can dedicate one variable to be the 'out of hours' flag so vector can check it and process the call according to it. also you can give some people the right to change this variable's value using 'vector variable' feature access code. more of it, you can even program some abbreviated dialing entry or something and place it on the button so user can press it and set the variable. the only shortage of this is that this button will not light up like ordinary night service button so there will not be any visible way to detect which mode the hunt group is.

Dwalin,

I'm assuming cm 2.1 is "call manager". If that's the case then I'm stuffed as we don't have call manager. We don't even have the "basic" vector feature which I could then at least use the "staffed agents" option.

Any other suggestions / ideas?

AndyAPAC,

cm is communication manager, former definity software. and how do you plan to use vectors if you don't have them? to clear the picture, please show your customer options, list conf soft and display offer if you have this command.

Dwalin,

Below is the "list conf soft" dump. I hope it helps. I couldn't do the "disp offer" command. To answer the question about using vectors, I can still use them just that their functionality is somewhat limited e.g. I can use available agents but not staffed agents, and I can only use splits, not skills.

Cheers,
AndyAPAC

AndyAPAC,

so you have r11, good. now please show 'disp sys cust', 5th and 6th pages. and 'disp capa', the last 10th page.

Dwalin,

Thanks for your help but the end user have decided to stick with their cover answer groups and to work within the limitations there in.

Cheers,
