in microsoft infopath does anyone know how to find the difference between two dates?

i've tried the obvious of setting a field to = date1-date2 but i can't get it to work. any ideas?

well - after inputting the two dates from two date pickers the text box where i wanted the result to go ended up with a red box around it and the value was "NaN
 
I don't know much about this, but from what I have read in other fora, this can only be done with code. Infopath does not have the ability to do datediff according to some of those postings.

 
oh yes indeedy - there is not a lot you can do within the Infopath GUI - pretty much everything must be done in VB/Java script using event handlers

You need to get used to Nodes / XPath queries and other assorted XML terminology.
