Mandatory Profiles not loading on Win XP clients

I have erratic problems with mandatory profiles not loading on some clients and to resolve it generally requires a logout or a restart. I would like to minimize these occurances. I have a number of Dell Optiplex computers that this is happening to.

Any ideas?

Check event viewer to determine the cause of this problem.

Actually I think I've found out the cause of my problems. After some scouring on Dell's support site, it seems that there is a compatibility problem between some network cards and Cisco Catalyst 3500XL switches.

This is proven by another lab that has a Netgear switch and the clients login quickly and flawlessly. I also get similar results when I use another NIC instead of the Dell NIC.
