I am running XP PRO Service pack 2, I have a 406v2 3.1.65. Scenario is on the occasion I can connect with Manager, do some merges and all is well. When I have to do an immediate reboot, I have to wait power down & up the 406, on occasion I can get a config. Sometimes I have to wait a few hours before I can get back on. In the meantime Voicemail Pro needs to be rebooted every few hours due to the fact that the 406 is not responding. The 406 still functions correctly for calls and all that. I go into command prompt do arp -a and I get the correct mac address for the IP Office and it's correct static IP. Don't know what is going on????

Anyone got any ideas???? Already did the AT_X2 &3 commands.

Update the firmware on the 5410 phones. make sure not to do more than one digital card at a time. there is a .bat file in the manager root that you must turn on and then turn off when you are done. Also, if you wait about 20-30 minutes after an unaccessable boot you can get in. i learned this the hard way myself. there is a previous post discussing this but is 3 months old and hard to find. a rational network person would think there is no way a tdm device's firmware would block ip communications with the control unit....but it does.

I fixed the other trouble that I was having. Updating the firm ware of the 5410's I checked manager and it looks like I have the latest release. I went in looking for the .bat file you are quoting but no luck on locating it. This file could possibly resolve some issues that I am having now. Where can I find it and how do you turn it on and off? Is it like a drag out of a folder into manager and then delete type of deal?

Thanks

Check my post on LAN problems with 406v2's. Me and my distrivutor think this is part of a wider problem with these units.
