Making report on 1 contact with Details

Goal:
I have made several Details about my contacts and I would like to run a report against the particular Reference of a particular detail item for a particular contact.
Issue:
I have figured out what field maps to what inside the contsupp table. But inside the report generator I can't seem to filter things out properly.

Example:

I have the Detail (Contact) set to Domain Settings Reference (ContsupRef) set to Active Directory, under Address1 I have the data I'm looking for.
Under the header section of the report I want the info in Address1. I would imagine that I set the filter to contsupp->contsupref="Active Directory" Then I move on to my details section

I have the details set up that Contact = Passwords and contsupref = users and I want to pull information from the fields of Title, LinkAcct, Country, Zip, and Address1 those fields are in line on my report layout under details1 and I imagine I set the filter of that section to contsupp->contact="Passwords"

what am I missing here?
does anyone know a better way?

Find the "Internet Address" report and you're half way there. Clone that report and then go into the guts of it and change it from filtering for 'e-mail address' to the name of your detail. Then you can go ahead and insert the fields you want to see below.
