Making a web page printer-friendly

My pages have 760 width for the most part and I am wondering what I should do to make them print properly--I don't want to use the printer-friendly option--what is the user expectation for printing currently? And what will we have to do for printing once the resolution become 1024? Does the 100% table option solve the problem? If so I don't know if I can do that because I have a navigation bar on the left then the main content on the left--At one point I have the left side as autostretch, but now that widens the screen so much that you need a horizontal scroll--

Here's a sample page:
Any ideas? Thanks--
