Hi everyone.

I have googled for this but haven't found the right way yet.

Problem: I have set up a Windows 2008 Terminal Server which will function as an application server to external users.
I have configured the router such that the TS is accessible in the DMZ from the internet via a fixed IP address.
I have setup local user accounts for the external users and instead of making them "users", I made them members of a user group with very restricted rights.

So far, so good.

What's not so good is, that in the logon screen, the default logon is to the domain, you have to type "tsname\username" to logon to local.
Now most of our users aren't the most technical of users. *cough* [tongue]
Which is why I believe that 75% of them will simply scream "I can't logon" everytime they try because they
a) won't look at the screen well enough to see the domain name issue
b) will forget what I told them within an hour and will scream again the next day
c) will finally mellow to simply ask "what was that computer's name again?" before finally say "to hell with it, I got other work to do"...
[flush3]

Long story short: how can I switch to default logon to local without losing the ability to also logon to the domain?

Thanks a lot!

Solved.

Just in case anyone has a similar challenge, here's what I did:
Since I couldn't find any such option, I simply created individual RDP files for each external user with the user login already pre-set.

Keeping it simple & stupid.
:-)
