Make an MDE file 1

I want to make an MDE file but the option is grayed out under Database Utilities. Any ideas why this might be?

Not to sure if you've done so already but make sure you "DEBUG" any code before you attemp to make a MDE.

Hi,

There is a chance but not sure if it is the reason.

If Access 2002 is installed in your computer and your file is in 2000 format then you can't make it to .MDE (Make MDE will be grayed in this situation).
You have to convert the file to 2002 and then make .MDE

I have Access 2002 installed and the app is Access 2002 as well. I have also run DEBUG and compiled all code without errors. Yet Make MDE FILE is still grayed out.

Hi,

Is that happening to all of your databases or only for this?
If only for this try to create a new blank database and import all the objects to the new one and check..

SUGGESTION-

DON'T HAVE A DB OPEN AT THE TIME YOU SELECT TOOLS/DATABASE UTILITIES/MAKE MDE
