maintainence terminal options for definity

Is there any terminal emulation programs or hyper terminal
set up that will allow a laptop or standard computer dial up
to a definity switch? I can connect but cannot do page up/
down commands or enter commands. If I connect an avaya
terminal to a modem and connect to the switch...it works fine. Is there a special program I have to buy or am i just doing something wrong....or do you have to use the avaya terminal.

U mean other than the DSA or ASA that AVaya sells to dial in remotely?
