main store Dismounts when recovering databases

I'm in the process of testing our exchange 2003 DR process and have started recovering our databases to a recovery storage group. This is working fine except that I've noticed that the main database store dismounts while the recovery takes place. Is this normal for Exchange? From what I've read, I thought that Exchange didn't dismount anything when restoring to a recovery group?

We are using BrightStor V11.1 onto an Exchange 2003 Enterprise
