Hi,
I am fairly new to Exchange 2000 and have run into what I think will be a simple problem (yet I can't find the right tickbox to fix it!)
I have a Contact list that is in a public folder for everyone on the network to use. Within this contacts folder I have a distribution list with lots of emails in it. Today, someone tried to add a new contact to the list and got the following error message:
"The distribution list has reached the maximum size for your network e-mail server. No new members could be added."
From what I have read, there is a maximum of 10,000 email addresses/fax numbers, but I am nowhere near this.
Microsofts' solution is to "Create multiple distribution lists, each with no more than the maximum number of items."..well, duuhhh!
....but doesn't identify the maximum.
Any thoughts? Is Microsofts way the only way or is there a place where I can specify the maximum number of recipients in Exchange?
Thanks in advance,
Peter
