Using the Label Wizard, I select Avery 5160 labels which are three up. It works at first, but soon after, it reverts to a single column. The query on which it based is a UNION query.
Hi Joeiwanski,
If you place your report in design view, make a little change to something even if you change then change back, preview the report and set it to 3 columns. Save or close and save. Try to open it again. Hopefully it's right. Now if you have a switch thrown to "compact on close", uncheck it. This is frequently the cause of such behaviour...Compacting really rebuilds the database as a new one and pitches the old. It seems it's an Access bug that reports won't hold their column settings (among other things) when compacted. Maybe in the next version... Gord

I am very new with Access and have been having the same problem with my labels printing down one side of the paper.
Your answer said to make a change on the design view (which I did) save it and preview the print again. It is still on one column.
I have re-done the label wizard on 10 label queries four times now and cannot get it to hold.
Could you please help me:
1. Where do I set the 3 columns - is it in the properties?
2. I cannot find anything about compacting the database. Where is that turned off?
This is for my work and every week I have to redo the label wizards. I am going crazy and my boss is getting frustrated with me. PLEASE HELP!
