Have done a quick search for a solution but can't find what I am looking for.
I have just attempted to reate a report (CR 8.5) to return names and addresses for print with a Avery L7173 mailing label.
Couple of queries as follows
1. when defining the label dimensions (all pre-defined options appear to be for US labels) I have put in the dimensions for the labels I am using but it has decided that there are 4 labels down and 1 accross - when in fact there are 5 down and 2 across .... this is using the report expert. Do I have to define page size anywhere ...
2. The labels will be for a mix of clients and other contacts. The client name is stored separately from the client address. The other contacts have their names and addresses in a third table. Will I have to run 2 seperate reports (and if so can they be merged) or is there a way to get around this ...
3. Is there a way of putting a parameter query in to tell the report which label to start printing on - it wont always be the first label as we will sometimes be re-using anincomplete sheet.
any help appreciated ... and an existing report template very much appreciated
