Hi,

After reading, find Stroage group and stores confusing? What are these?
Is it MS Exchange Server 2003 Standard edition has 4 stores?

For a user base of 150 mailboxes, what is the largest mailbox size capacity for each mailbox using Standard edition?

Thank you.

Regards,
Daryl

Because of Exchange's "single instance storage" it's not a simple calculation of n mailboxes * x mailbox size = total space used. You actually do get some savings here--that said, I wouldn't count on it for my calculations.

Exchange Server Standard has two usable stores: one public, one private. Each store is limited to 16GB, so in your example above, you're talking just over 100MB per user as a maximum. Service Pack 2, to be released next month, will increase the maximum sizes of the stores to 75GB (or 500MB per user for your scenario.)

Personally, I would not use the maximum possible sizes--you need to account for future growth, after all.
