I have Exchange Server 5.5 and 1500 users, and I don't know whether Exchange Server 5.5 support 10 Gb for mailbox. Which the normal size?

Thanks in advance

Hi
If you have a standard install of NT and Exchange your max size for your Private information store will be 16 Gig.

If 1 mailbox is 10 gig it leaves you with 6 gig for the rest of your users. Not much space I would say.

Speak to the culprit to either delete all the chunk mail he is keeping or make a .pst file and write it to a cd.

You will also see that your machine usage on memory is very high.

Good luck, you will need it...

Hope this Helps

Thanks Marius:

If I have Enterprise, It's possible?

Hi JCM

If you have NT 4 Enterprise and Exchange Enterprise then you can go to 16 TB for your Private information store.

However there is no limit to the size of a mailbox. The larger it gets the more resources it will take from your machine. Unless you are lucky and have one huge kickass server. You can also set the max size of the each mailbox.

I would really recommend smaller mailbox's 10 meg per user seems reasonable. Hope this Helps
