MAIL STOPS AFTER 2 MINS

OK ON FRI MAIL WENT DOWN, if i reboot the server the mail will be delivered etc, after 5 mins approc it Qs all the mail again, if i reboot it works again for a few mins.

Now when i ping anything internally its ok, soon as u try to ping an external addy or IP you get no responce, i would say this is down to the firewall, buttttttttt why does it work for 3 mins on intial boot up ?


any1 thorw any pointers on this, i think its a DNS issue, but why would it only work on a reboot for a few mins, Im from exchange 2k background and this 5.5 so im not too good with it, but the basics are here hehe.

When you say it stops working; Do you mean that the Internet Mail service stops? Or it just stops delivering Mail?

I am Paul from Telecom Seychelles Ltd. Well, I have send a message yesteray regarding the problem I am facing in exchange Server 5.5. I cannot receive mail from the Internet but when i start my server, mails starts coming in and after some time it stops. I just don't know exactly what happend.

I will be very gratefull if you could give me an answer.
