mail merge problem

Hi,

I got the following error whenever I open up a mail merge
document witn Word 97 in Winxp:

"Doc1 is a mail merge main document. Word cannot find its data
source, access.mdb."

With two option, "find data source" and "options" button.

I have manually press the "find data source button". It will
ask me again. Please advise. Thanks.

When a previous merge with this datasource was done, rather than the user choosing to File > Save As (another filename) the user simply chose to SAVE the file. This merged it with the document. The datasource is now part of the merged document.

You may have to recreate the datasource depending on what format the datasource was.

If its an access database form, it needs to be exported from Access to an Excel Spreadsheet to become a valid data source.
