Apparently in word 97 the only acceptable delimiters in a header source and data source are comma and the tab char. However I have documents created with later versions of word that use the tilda char ~. Is there any way to set the default for Word 97 to accept ~ or must i deal with prompts everytime i try to run these files?
Thanks

When you create a mail merge, aren't you saving the file as a template to use again?

Can you try to record the mail merge steps as a macro?

(Thinking out loud.)

VBA Coders, please help:

Sorry if this is way out, but can't you just use Replace to make the delimiters whatever you want!

Good Luck!
