mail merge in an email?

Is there anyway to merge data from an Access database into an email, such as names and dates? I couldn't find anything in Help--

We want to send emails to many individuals that would include their name and certain dates in the text of the email......

Yes. When you get to step 3 in the mail merge wizard, select "electronic mail" as the "Merge To" option. Basically you set it up in Word and then choose this option. I believe it will even ask you if you want it to be inserted in the email or as an attachment. This is in 2000 so I am not sure of where the option is in higher versions but I am sure it is there.
