Hello,
I am in the final stages of a migration from Exchange 5.5 to 2003. I have moved all of the mailboxes over and all of the public folders. We use smart hosts, so I have configured that on the Virtual Server.
The email seems to be received by the new 2003 Server, but when I send, it still routes via the 5.5 one.
I know that I have to eventually take the 5.5 one out but is there a way that I can test it ?
If not, could anyone tell me the best course of action from here.

Many thanks

when we migrated our mailboxes from 5.5 we got them in to the new system, shut the 5.5 server off, and removed the connector from both exchange servers. we then set up a smtp connector with an address space as * and everything worked sweet as a nut.

when the 5.5 is still in the ad it will route the emails through that if it has the correct connector to send the email out.

not sure if this helps!

Thanks, that is great. Do you know if there is any way that I can test this without actually removing the 5.5 IMC ?
Everything else has been moved across but I just want to make sure.
If I just stop the 5.5 Internet Mail Service, the email still tries to go through the 5.5 server.

Any help would be much appreciated

Thanks
