I have no plans on changing out my Magix but was wondering what product AVAYA was pushing to replace them?

I went with IP office last Year, started with SOE, then 406v2. I used to have Magix 3.0 with 412TDL, 024TDL, 408MLX-ICLID.
You can use the 4406, 4412, and 4424 phones on IP office!
I cut My monthly phone bill in less than half with VOIP calling! Plus You can have up to 64 Way conference calling!
I have had up 7 way conference so far, very clear, I'm impressed! Magix/Legend You can only have 3 Way calling, plus 2 extra interal parties.
I am very happy with IP office. If You are going to stay with analog pots/did service, you might as well keep Magix. Magix is a very good system, I had it for 6+ years with NO problems, except a few froxen MLX phones which were left over from when I had Merlin Ledgend.

NO!,
We tried an IP Office a few years ago and we lost it 5 times in 5 months due to lightning. In our environment the IP Office is not an option, too many off premise locations.
I just wanted to see what AVAYA was pushing these days.

I would imagine there has to be a way to protect it from the lightning. do you have IROBS on the off prem stuff? THe IPO is a good solution if you have experianced techs putting it in. What kind of off prem stuff is it?

I put a SwitchVox PBX... which is a GUI implementation of Asterisk open source in front of my two Magix Systems.

The SwitchVox supports POTS or T1 and I have the Magix routing through the DS1 ports to the SwitchVox.

Now I have everything for about $2,500 (screen pops, Caller ID inbound and outbound, etc).... and I have not lost the investment in the 300 desk sets.

LOTS of config, though, and nobody supports it but me :-(

It's an airport using field cable to numerous equipment huts up to 3200 feet away. IP Office just didn't cut it.

I have an IP Office at an airport, never had a lightning problem. IROBs were used.

IROBs and proper grounding always important! So far I have not seen any bad IP office power supplies. The only system that I have seen power supply issues with was the old merlin820, I changed quite a few of those back in the Day.
