I have several MAC's networked to a Win2000 server. The server has MAC shares set-up to cater for file transfers between these MAC clients and the server.

Whenever the MAC's attempt to transfer files larger then 2 GB to the server, the process fails, every time.

Does anyone know what's going on here? I have already increased the page-file size of the server to cater for larger file sizes but it hasn't made any difference.

Under some circumstances Samba imposes a 2gig file size limit. Apparently this issue was fixed in samba version 2.2.7. Upgrade the version of Samba on your Macs.

I've actually never used Samba before. Have used 3rd party packages like Dave and PCMAClan.

Will Samba work with OS9?

Does Samba reside on the server or on the MAC client?

Thank you kindly for the help.

My fault I thought you were using OSX. OSX has Samba installed by default. I have not had any experience with OS9 so I really cant help you with this.
