mac file names

i have a good question for everyone...

i have a few macs on my network that access my file server(which is a nt 4.0 machine. well it seems that on a mac you can use the file names that windows won't allow such as / \ or ?. is there anyway to stop this or is there a program you can buy that can fix this?

We have the same problem, but I think that the only way to get around this is to ask them not to use them I'm afraid.
