Hi Folks,
Has anyone have experience in installing the mac agent for veritas on a mac server running os x 10.3? If so please point me in the right direction.

Kind Regards

No experience of that but if you use remote agent you can just connect to it from the Windows box and back it up remotely.

Incorrect on the windows remote agent.
cdex Im assuming your running Backup Exec 9.x

Here is the Mac/Unix Agent

Basically your going to be prompted for the media server name - your windows media server. I usually use the ip address.
Then you be prompted for password - leave themn blank
Then the folders to publish on the unix agent - by default it \ or root.

Thanks for the info steve3. Yes am using Backup exec 9.1. Have downloaded the agent and unstuffit into a folder on the mac server, will appreciate if someone can actualy tell me how to install it. Sorry but am dealing with my first mac server here.

I only work from a terminal session. Log into a terminal windows as a root eqivalent and change dir to the install files.
issue the command ./INSTALL
It's case sensitive and use all capa.
After that the options the the screen are easy and self explanatory.

Thank U very much Stevet3, will try and let u know the results.

Regards
