Hi,

I know that when doing a LD 20 or LD 32 I can Req an IDU with a TN and the system will print the IP address and MAC address of the set. Is there a way to do the reverse, to input the MAC address or IP address somewhere and retrieve the TN/DN of a set?

Any help would be great, thanks.

You should be able to get this information by logging into Element Manager if you have the CS1K and running the isetShow command.

Hi Dabble,

Thanks for the info. You're not the first to suggest that I use Element Manager to find what I'm looking for. But for the life of me I can not find any reference to the isetShow command in element manager. Once I've logged into the web inferface of element manager, what steps should I follow to use the isetShow command.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

Once you are logged in to Element Manager, from the left side of the screen, go to IP Telephony » Nodes: Servers, Media Cards » Node Maintenance and Reports.
On the right side of your screen you should then have your NODE ID displayed. Click on that.

Under the NODE ID and depending upon how many ELANs are set up on your system, you should see the main signaling server. Beside it you should see a button GEN CMD. click on that.

Under the next screen which should be General Commands, in the GROUP drop down list choose Iset, then just to the right of that in the COMMAND drop down list choose isetShow then click on RUN. You should then see all your sets with the IP address and the MAC address.

Hi Dabble,

That is so cool, I love it. You are awesome :)

Thank you,

Hi All,

I thought I would share my latest findings. To resolve an IP address to a DN (1 to 1) without doing a whole dump through element manager, either of the following will work on the PBX:

LD 117
P IPDN X.X.X.X

or

LD 117
PRT IPDN X.X.X.X

(Note that X.X.X.X represents the IP in question.)

... and again, thanks to dabble for the info on Element Manager.

Cheers,

X
