I recently built 4 M3904 on an OPT81C and am experiencing issues with their phones not automatically getting a dial tone when they pick up the handset. They also have to hit their primary DN button in order to answer any incoming calls. Is there anything that I'm missing under class of service? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Please post the full printout of one of the sets.

Another thing to check is to Force Download the phone, then check the options menu on the 3904's. Try and take another working, older, 3904 and put it there. Does it still happen?

Here's the full print out.

On the set, select options, then 7 for Live Dial Pad. Is it turned on? I do not think this is a CLS feature, rather a feature of the phone.

Hope this helps,

Scott M.

Thanks for the replies! I'll give your suggestions a shot and post back later.

Unless the printout of your set is incorrect. the problem you are having is the following. You have the LPK set to 0 and there is no extension at key 0. LPK means Line Preference key. Set the value to the phone primary extension and the user would no longer have to press the key to answer the calls. Question why do you have an autodial key on Key 0?

I agree with spanton, put the scr keys on 0 and 1, make LHK 1 and LPK 1. I tested it on my 3904 and it works perfect.

I also agree. You have to have LPK set to the key you want to go active when the dial pad is pressed. You could also set LPK to 3 if you really wanted to leave the phone configured the way it is.

I made all of the recommended changes and they're working great now. Thanks for all of the help!!
