I lost a NTVQ01aa card (media card) in one of my shelves. What exactly is that controlling because all of my analog cards in that shelf are now busy and not operational. I haven't been on site yet to see the whole scope of things. It is an M1 Option 81C rls 25.47. What else would make me loose all of my analog cards in that shelf? Any ifon appreciated.

Can do two things
It acts as a gateway between the circuit-switched voice network and the IP network.
It acts as Terminal Proxy Server (TPS) or “virtual line card” for the i2002/i2004 Internet Telephones and i2050 Software Phone

The loop is enabled. How do you check the controller card? I'm trying to do this remotely and I'm relying on second hand information from two other techs unfamiliar with the syste. The Digital card on that shelf is working, but all the analogs seem to be out. I disable and enable the cards and all the assigned ports are showing busy.

I need to make a correction, this is an option 61C on release 25.47. I don't have IP phones..this is a military switch and is way behind the curve. I'm a SL-100 tech trying to M1. I can move around and do what I need to do, but when it gets past trunks and into possibly software issues I'm done. I'm not familiar enough with those commands to understand the verbage. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Since you have no VOIP phones I would say that it using it to access the network for some kind of application

Hi Choad91,

TRY TO Upload the PSWV to the particular Shelf:

LD 20/32
REQ DSXP X (DISABLE Controller NO.)
DISL L (DISABLE LOOP NO.)

Note 1: Switch off Power Supply of the Shelf
- Unseat Controller x and reseat after 5 seconds.
2: Switch on Power Supply of the shelf

LD 20/32
REQ ENLL L (enable Loop No.)
ENXP X (ENABLE Contrller No.)

Have you checked the simple stuff, Ring generator and shelf power supply? I have seen pwr supplies go bad where the voltage is too low for correct operation of analog phones, but high enough for digital to work just fine.

I do have a feeling it is the power supply Card. The RG seems to be fine. After two hours of working on this remotely my techs said "Hey do you know the red light on the front of the cabinet is on and there is no green light on the power supply? I had them reseat the card and I can see it going through the boot up process on my terminal, but it sounds like it is having issues. Thank you all for your help, I'll let you know what I find If the PS isn't the issue.
