LSI20320IE card with Intel se7525gp2 motherboard

I have recently purchaced a HP SC11Xe Host Bus Adapter card that is actually this LSI20320IE LSI card. I was told that it should work with an Intel board that I have se7525gp2 but I can't get it to work. I've plugged in the board and when the system boots it shows in teh BIOS and presents the correct information but Windows will not install the driver.

I am trying to install on Windows 2003 SP2.

If you go to this support link (just one level past your hp support link):

You'll note they don't list any Windows XP drivers.

You might could try under Windows 2000 or Windows Server 2003, I suppose.

Windows XP often, if not always, requires drivers (by hitting F6, and then loading from a floppy) for RAID cards and at least some onboard SATA controllers.

The poster stated that he was getting an error message stating that the card didn't support Windows XP.... of course, it may be another issue altogether since he said he was attempting to install Windows Server 2003.

Uh, wait, I said about Windows XP. Oh well, looking at the other thread, it looks like the card sometimes sees Server 2003 the same as XP.

Thanks for the ideas guys I flashed the BIOS (just part of the update process) and when I rebooted the card was magicaly listed correctly with a 2002 Windows driver and seems to be working. I'll let you know if anything changes.
