I got this error on w2k server. If I run adware or McaFee virus scan will it take care or I need to do something else.

I was just using the internet when this error came , a pop up window saying 'lsass.exe terminated code 128 save all programs computer will shut down in 60 sec' and then it did. I did little research on internet they say it is some blasster worm which causes it.......
