We have two people in our organization who use quark 6. One uses windows 2000 and the other windows XP. The girl that uses XP doesn't get the quality out of her print jobs that the 2000 box does when printing the same file.

They print to a canon color copier 2400 through a colorpass v80 server.(I'm not too familiar with those products, so I may not have worded that right)

The guy from canon was just here and told me that Quark, Illustrator, etc. don't work well with Windows XP and she will never be able to get the quality that she could if she used win2000. He suggested we install 2000 for her; I could, but I wanted to see if anyone had any ideas before I went ahead and did that.

Does his answer sound correct? He loaded the drivers, so I am assuming they are the most recent for each machine. I believe it was a colorpass V80 driver?

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I dunno, I have XP at home and my stuff prints just fine in Quark and Illustrator. But who knows it may be a driver issue as mentioned.
I have win2k at work, I think I might prefer XP is they'd let me.
