Hello all,

I have a customer with an IPO500V2 w/ 7.0.36 and an IP400 PRI card on a legacy carrier. They are using 1416 sets.

When calls come into the system over the PRI, they ring a HG which includes all phones, but only two are active. The others don't ring.

If the receptionist can't answer the call, someone else uses group pickup to grab the call. The problem is once the pickup is done, the caller hears a loud 4-5 second tone(sounds like a DTMF tone). Then the call connects.

Has anyone heard of or experienced this?

Thanks for any input.

had a squeal on analog lines when a call gets picked up but never on PRI

Thanks for the quick replies.

Actually, I think I fixed it???

I found the HG set as sequential(error on my part). Changed it to collective and problem went away. Not sure why.

Thanks again.

Hi All,

Sorry to have to resurrect this.

Apparently, I did not fix this with the change in the HG settings. And, get this, we can only duplicate this when the call originates from a wireless phone. All tests using a land-line to call in are good.

I'm stumped.

Any insight would be appreciated.
