The local utility company says that they can provide meter readings to me in Lotus format. I haven't used Lotus in many, many years but I have to assume the data is in spreadsheet format.

Is there a way to import or query the spreadsheet from MS-Access?

go into help in Access and in the Index type "LOTUS" it will then tell you how to

Hope this helps

Thanks Hymn,

It took a turn for the worse. The local utility provided the file a couple or days ago........It wasn't a LOTUS file, it was a .PRN file derived from LOTUS. It isn't pretty.

I ended up importing the file with the specification that each line was a single field of type text. I then had to delete the headers that were imbedded in the file. Then I had to parse each line into independent fields. Nasty way to do it but it works.
