Hi All,

Apologies if this is answered already but search functionality is currently 'undergoing routine maintenance'.

Company A is looking at migrating their email, calendaring & contacts from lotus notes to exchange 2003. I'm happy with all things exchange, just have very little experience with notes..

Anyone have experience on doing this? Tips and Tricks? Recommended Softwares/Procedures?

Only a 10 person/mailbox organisation..

Thanks in advance :)

The built in tools will do this, but keep one thing in mind (assumption: you're going from a single server Notes environment to a single server Exchange environment.)

If you have the mail and calendar connectors running (for coexistence between the environments), you have to stop them to actually move the mailboxes. This means that while you're moving mailboxes, mail will not flow between the two organizations - it'll get queued. Since you've only got 10 users, this shouldn't be a problem (assumption: your users have "normal" sized mailboxes and not some gigantic multi-gig mailboxes).

The other issue is that the built in tools will NOT handle Notes archives. If you need to handle archives, you need to either move the mail back to the mailboxes, or use some third party tools like the Quest stuff.

Cheers 58sniper, i'll investigate the 'supplied' (MS?) tools and take it from there.

Yes - they're from MS, although, if memory serves me correctly, there are newer versions online than what comes with Exchange.
