I got a stumper from a user today.

Go into Crystal v10 and open the formula editor. There is a small tool-bar panel for the buttons named "Save" / "Save and Close". If you double click on the left edge of this panel you can undock it, which gives you a separate window with a small 'x' in the corner. This 'x' allows you to close the window. Anyone know how to get this window back once it is closed?

We mucked around in the registry but couldn't find the setting or any other method of bringing it back, short of restoring the registry to the day before.

GO to

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Crystal Decisions\10.0\Crystal Reports\Formula Workshop\Main\ToolBar-Bar3

set the visible to 1 and restart Crystal

you might have to do this twice

Mo,

Thanks for that. The problem was that the key isn't created until you actually close that panel the first time. And since I never did that key never appeared in my list.

It got me scared for a minute because I couln't find it on the registry and I thought I'd lost it as well.
