Lost serial console & modem access

All of a sudden I can't connect to an Option 11 locally with serial cable or remotely with modem. It does not seem to matter which port I use.

Any suggestions on how to fix this besides rebooting the switch?

We have one cabinet with two fiber remotes.

Try an INI first.

that's almost the only thing you can do.. unless you have access with a maint set. disable the port and enable it with the maint set and the term may come up. i don't use maint phones but the login is in the 1st few paages of the i/o guide. unless you have mta in cls of the set, that is not an option

In LD 37 stat your TTY ports to see of they are enabled, to enable

ENL TTY X

How do you stat the TTYs in ld 37 if none of the ports are working?

dhnl: Before the INI, check that the octopus cable running from the backplane is connected properly. They can come loose if not properly installed.

If you had Element Manager, go in via the PTY or through your Sig Server. Stat TTY, sorry was taking and typing the last post
