I was successful upgrading from 3.0 to 4.1. , but lost the config upgraging to 6.1 I would like to start over by downloading the original 3.0 from backup files but the MICS will no loner boot to 3.0 How can I get it to boot with a lower version software?

I'm guessing your familiar with the Upgrade Tool, if you got it from 3.0 to 4.1. You should not have needed it to get to 6.1. But you will not get it to go backwards. Nortel has always built in bad things happening if you ever go back in all their products. Plug in 6.1 and reprogram from Startup.

I was afraid of that.......total mess up on my part, and I know better as this is not the first upgrade I've done. just got in a hurry.

You can go back by doing a STARTUP with the R6.1. At the point where the display reads "Applying template" count to 5 and then pull the power. Insert the R3.0 and power back on. The system will come up in default mode and you can restore the old database and then try the upgrade again. Good luck!

I'm reloading my backup config now. I'll get it right this time. Thanks
