lost administrator account in XP home

Is there any way to recover the administrator a/c on XP home ?

Can you be more explicit? You don't use Administrator account in normal use - can you log in with it in safe mode?

The computer turns on but the only a/c there is Guest

Start in Safe mode by pressing F8 at boot up, then log on as Administrator. Some of the information in these articles may help:

Or... you could login as guest, then logout. Press Ctrl-Alt-Del twice and the old style login box will apear. Type in administrator and the password.

I fixed this one with the safe mode logon.
It gave me the option to login as administrator.
So with that done I was able to make a new account with
administrator priviledges and presto ---my problem was
solved. Thanks for the timely tips

Now if I could only figure out why I had to re install win98 in order to
let my WinXP and the Win98 see each other I would think I was
OK
