Hi Mark,
What version of Cf are you using. I have a piece of code that will get the admin password out of the registry for you. It works with 4 - 4.5 I haven't tried it on MX yet.
If you need it send me your email and I 'll send it to you. I really do not like to post it as some people get upset when they see this because of security reasons.
