Loss of sync in DVD output from Premiere

Hi
I'm just trying to burn a few clips, which are originally in 'wmv' format, to DVD thru Premiere Pro and the result a loss of synchromisation in voice sound. Here are some details:-
Original clip:
format = wmv; frame size = 512 x 384; fps = 29, sound = 44KHZ - 16 bit - stereo

I import the clip in Premiere and without editing I select Export to DVD. That's all..no editing or whatsoever!
I would very much appreciate if somebody could help.

Try to import the clip to the timeline, and export as avi, and then import the avi-file to the timeline and export to dvd

Ander's suggestion is worth a shot, but there's one underlying problem you're dealing with here. Uncompressing the original file (WMV) and then recompressing the file to DVD format. Although you're not editing, Premiere still has to interpolate the data stream and then recompress it - thus your loss in synchronization.

Have you tried other conversion utilities. Anyone know if DVD-lab can import WMV files? Or other utilities that may offer a better conversion to AVI than Premiere?

Thanks a lot for your valuable informations. I am presently trying to find a software that'll convert wmv to avi. By the way, SuperDVD creator can convert wmv directly to DVD format without the need to convert to avi. But the only thing is that it resizes my original wmv clips (512x384) to the standard size - 720x480 thus causing a loss in quality. But the sync is good.
One bridge is crossed and now I'm stuck with the size problem. Any suggestions will be more than precious to me.

I suspect that Canopus ProCoder Express will convert WMV to DV AVI.
